Nice-Matin have confirmed reports in Italian media, alluding to AS Roma’s interest in OGC Nice sporting director Florent Ghisolfi.
Whilst the local publication does not confirm Italian reports, which have stated that Ghisolfi is on the verge of joining the Serie A club, talks between Ghisolfi and Roma have nonetheless been confirmed. Roma have been linked with many different sporting directors, including former AS Monaco SD Paul Mitchell, who has been out of work since officially leaving the Principality club last October. Get French Football News understands that the Englishman heavily favours a Premier League move.
However, in recent weeks, Ghisolfi has become the front-runner for the role at Roma. Contact with Ghisolfi was established earlier this year and unlike the interest shown in him by the likes of Monaco and also Saudi Arabian sides, the French sporting director is interested in the role in the Italian capital. Meetings between Ghisolfi and Roma took place several weeks ago, according to Nice-Matin.
