Andy Murray is set to return from injury before this year’s French Open after signing up for a warm-up tournament in Geneva in two weeks.
The British veteran, who turns 37 next Wednesday, has made a successful recovery from the rupturing of two ankle ligaments at the Miami Open in March. Over the past two weeks he has stepped up his preparation for a return to action by training on clay courts in London.
This week’s Italian Open came too soon for a Murray comeback but he has now formed a schedule for the coming weeks. He will first appear as a wild card at the Geneva Open, which starts on May 19, before heading to Paris for the French Open, starting on May 26.
