Paris 2024 Olympics: here are the songs played at the opening ceremony

If you woke up this Saturday, July 27, with France Gall, Édith Piaf, Cerrone or even Daniel Balavoine and Diam’s on your mind, then you most certainly followed, like many others, the opening ceremony of the Paris 2024 Olympic Games. On Friday evening, all eyes were riveted on the capital and on this sublime opening ceremony orchestrated by the talented Thomas Jolly.

Unveiling 12 tableaux, each as beautiful as the next, this opening ceremony of the Paris Olympic Games truly seduced the eyes and ears of spectators and television viewers alike. Music played a very important role, with the presence of incredible artists such as Céline Dion, Lady Gaga, Aya Nakamura, Gojira in a duet with opera singer Marina Viotti, and Juliette Armanet accompanied by Sofiane Pamart on piano.

In addition to these performances, music was also present throughout the evening, thanks to a choice playlist featuring electro, rap, classical and French variety. For over 3 hours, we were treated to Cerrone ‘s ” Supernature ” during the Eiffel Tower light show, as well as excerpts from Mylène Farmer’s ” Désenchantée “, Camille Saint-Saëns‘ “ Danse macabre “, Michel Polnareff‘s ” Lettre à France “, Justice’ s ” D.A.N.C.E ” and Stardust’s legendary “ Music Sounds Better With You “.
